Clay Symposium

El Arreciado has different clays in its soil. This symposium, by invitation only, aims at discovering the properties of this amazing material, especially its capacity to bring a group of artists together to have fun, share and make art.

The dry clay is picked from the fields, ground up, moistened, kneaded and then used for the experimental projects undertaken.

The clay obtained is used in a variety of experimental ways. From body painting, sculpting, mural painting, to sound installations and poems...  It has also been fired at 1000ºC to make permanent objects.
